Our community is built on the valuable contribution of our members who use a set of simple principles to evaluate their contributions.

We welcome and appreciate the contributions that our membership make to our community. We believe that quality in the published contributions of the community are key to the communities appeal and we are keen to attract as many enthusiastic members as possible.

Therefore, to keep the standard of contribution high and fairly even across the community, we have five simple principles for contribution.

  1. English as a standard and a good standard of English:
    • since this is a World-wide community, and English is widely understood, we have adopted it as the common language for contribution to this community
    • we expect a good standard of English in authors' work, where good spelling, grammar and appropriate language is expected; the Editors reserve the right to modify or reject contributions with poor standard if necessary
  2. Relevant and supportive:
    • the topic of contributions are expected to align with the mission of the community and the subject of solution architecture
    • contributions are expected to support and improve the knowledge maturity of our membership
  3. Respectful and ethical:
    • the content of any contribution is expect to be respectful of others and their rights; while we respect and expect honest and frank discussion, inflammatory comment and opinion is not acceptable
    • contribution will be accepted on trust of the ethics of its origin; we discourage the disclosure of commercial secrets or confidential information and expect contribution to be original - plagiarism is not ethical
  4. Structured and engaging:
    • contribution content should be logically structured (e.g., use SCQA framwork, etc.) to clearly lead the reader to the conclusion
    • contribution should be engaging - without an engaging topic and written in an engaging way, the contribution is likely to remain unread and will not add value to the community
  5. Objective and rational:
    • contributions should remain as objective as possible when structuring an argument, avoiding assertion of opinion without resorting to fact or observation
    • contributions should present their arguments and conclusions as a rational outcome of facts / observations.

These are guidelines and not laws - this isn't a rules-bound community!

Our editorial staff will be very happy to help interpret these guidelines.

Our editors and senior authors / contributors will be glad to also assist new contributors in developing their first publications.
